@Jouni I'm this moment on 0.3/1.2 camber, kinda low rider, changes might come 'coz still tweaking more.. Stable lap time between1:26.1 and 1:25.8. When car stays stable under 26 I'm happy.
We need to take final race when all have setups ready, race online against each other.. Smile

Camber + LSD and stable under 1:26, 1:25.601 with mistakes.. Hmm
Tested 13 lap online with very fast tire wear, 1:26.6 - 1:28.8. Reserve for quicker.

Urgh, big cost streets... Balancing between tracks means 1:20.2 on streets and bit under 1:26 on big.. What's good on another is not good on other.. Smile

Im thinking that 1:20's at Streets & 1:26's at Big are about the best Im going to get out of this base set up with a DS3. I got the ride height dialed in perfectly the car sits so beautifully and the suspension is looking right as I go around the track, good balance of dive, squat & lean while the car feels very stable going around the track, I feel I can refine the tune and my lap when I get on the track behind my G27 with her, so far tho she seems to be relatively on pace and generally feels good. Handling is very neutral, Im holding off on really tuning her until I get the wheel out.

I like to see that Ode, often there is a shortcut solution that is quick and easy, but plays on a glitch or removes from the character or feel of the game. Its a choice to take the easy road or use your brain and skill to get the job done with real world simulated techniques. To me its more important to go as far as we can with real world simulated set ups vs the short cuts to fast laps with cars that feel nothing like anything on the road. The game is not perfect, far from it but it responds well to real world tuning giving a very real world feel. I don't understand how many complain the cars in the game are too fast compared to the real counterparts when they glitch tune them and drive with video game assist. Real world set ups with zero assist the lap times line up a bit better albeit always a bit faster in the game, people do use the driving line, gear shift indicator/brake point indicator and ability to push PAST the limits with no consequences to find the ABSOLUTE limits, its no surprise that plus perfect track conditions can yield a few seconds faster a lap...

Last tuning session was interrupted leaving me having huge grip on front and rear wing is almost minimal, just waiting to get on ps3 to balance car by adding more rear wing. Car was making on this unbalanced situation same lap times as earlier.
Probably getting both tracks bit faster after this.
Tune itself is really grippy, even on CH it's hard to drift Smile

@Ode. Constant under 1.26 is very good achievement. Did You do something different to the toe values or are You still very close to zero?

I'm still struggling, cambers 0,8 front / toe -31 and 1,4 rear / toe +0,6 at the moment ( 1.25,766 ). I try to add more front camber at the moment ( 2,1 felt good ) just to see what is good for me. I drive only this big willow.

This front camber is little bit mystic for me, values between 0,3 - 0,8 ok, values 1,2 - 1,7 mystic and above 1,8 ok ( same front toe ). I forgot to change oil - again, and this might cause the mystical part. I try again.

This is very interesting exercise.

Edit: now I think I found something, witch I close, time 1.25,456.

@Jouni yes, close to zero toe. Have you tried your setup on streets of willow too, I had to sacrifice few things because of other track. Had to compromise high speed cornering and quick turning, my best laps on big willow were really close to that your time, but same setup come really hard on streets of willow, now playing around same bit under 26 @big and flat 20 @Streets.

You should also try test on online room with all real and tyre wear "very fast", if you could do 10+ lap stint with equal lap times you're sitting on good tune. My laps are starting to fall after 10 lap, but kinda identical before that.

@ode. I thought that Your toes are close to zero, gently for tyres. This is the difference between amateur setup ( what I'm doing ) vs professional setup.

What I'm looking as an amateur is the best handling and fastest time. Professionals are looking this setup much more complex and are willing to give fastest setup away to achieve gently tyre wear. This is one point what I'm looking for this exercise: how to change my setups to achieve better tyre wear. Ode, Sinister and bread are leading this way to me: Ode with small front camber and small toes. Sinister ( if there are no surprises ) with more front camber than rear, toes are a question. And Bread with something. I'm learning to give a way something ( hopefully very little ) away from my lap time and get more gently tyre wear.

I think I have universal problem: there is no need to concentrate to tyre wear because most online races are without tyre wear or the race distance are too short to see the real effect of gently tyre wear. When you will get tired of smoking front tyres and want more realistic game, You will get Your first steps to direction of advanced setup, like I'm doing right now. And this step is huge and demand very much effort.

@ Ode. I try, but I think my tyres are finished after 5 laps. I'm concentrating to the big Willow because both Willows are not familiar to me.

I'll bet at there will be tyre wear at least fast (prefer very fast Smile) on upcoming race.
My setup could be driven merciless and achieve quicker lap time, but that's not the way I drive or want to drive.
Good example, we were running 30 min race on Monaco, very fast tyre wear with old Ferrari on CS tires, my lap pace was on 1:54 when just keeping pace, but when needed some distance or catching up opponent i could push it to 1:52, cost of fuel and bigger tire wear, both are pretty much limited on there, my refuel strategy had about 7 liter extra for those quicker pulls.

Racing just comes much much more interesting when using very fast wear and longer races.
You really should test online your tune to see how much it eats or not tires.
