About Evoras, Quaife helical LSD used on it(option, electrical locking on stock LSD, but I'm using Nitron spring set so why not use option LSD too), works pretty much as Torsen differential, giving smooth torque transition side to side and never locking suddenly.. Well my out from hat LSD works close to that smoothness, maybe trying fix little lower preload later.. Or not, it's just nice to drive with this. Gears (5&6) will get something later too.
Ride height might need mm or few lowering to match better on visual.. But not in hurry with that.

There might be error on rear toe.. Hmm 0.04.. Checking..
..solved, 0.13 is calculated correct.

LSD got minor tweak, as new is running bit milder brake lock, it's easier to drive, enthusiast will tweak it to their needs..[S]15/27/19[/s] 15/27/16 LSD

Now we have a Evora replica, witch is very close to real car, many thanks to Ode.

When driving with this car, You might face a slide of rear end. If I compare this rear end slide to real car, there is a big difference. With real car is not so difficult to catch the rear end sliding, even drive easily the whole corner with little slide ( control the slide with throttle and steering ). But this game, at least for me is really difficult to catch and correct the sliding. I'm not talking about drifting ( sliding with big angle ), I'm talking about small angle sliding, witch is easy to control with a real car. The nature of sliding with real cars are also different, it's more peaceful. In this game I normally just loose control and spin, like I do with this Evora replica.

I understand loosing the control of rear end and spinning with formula type of cars, even some race cars, but with super cars and ordinary cars the little rear end sliding should be quite easy to control.

I have seen some racers who can drift and control huge sliding very nice. But I haven't seen anyone who can drive through corner with a little slide and can control that little slide like it's easy to do with a real car ( if the car has power ).

Is this rear end control really so difficult or is it just a lack of my driving skills?
Or is there some problems about my driving wheel settings ( g27, 6, 4, 8 )? The steering wheel is hugely faster than normal - is this the reason.
Or is it just physics of the game - drifting is ok, little slide = spin.

Maybe someone who can drive or drift knows the answer.

@Jouni, I'm using 6/6/10 on wheel settings, and that much argued "simulation" setting along power steering.
Evora Replica is done with STOCK wheels, others may grip unpredictably with it it's easy to go on small slide around corners/turns as is on those.
About simulation versus other settings, I can't slide/recover using others, because of steering help what those are giving, backbone gives right recovery angle on wheel but that's not matching if other than simulation setting is used, others made my car swim like fish, or commonly used term "snake tail". If someone thinks at simulation setting is nonsense, then you're free to feel so.

1:42.49 Evora S @ Laguna Seca

Matching real life might need comfort grade tires (CS or under).
Tried those two hotlaps, Laguna Seca with CS and TC=1 ABS=1 and driving carefully time is matching. But really don't know what driver was doing on that Willow Springs hotlap, I have to take smoke break even on CH tires to match time. And yes I'm aware of Willow time is on standard model Evora and Laguna Evora S.
Without TC and ABS car is faster, but you need (it let) to drive more, idea of those aids came from real life, Evora's sport mode have traction control and ABS. But we're enthusiast who are not using them, unless trying to get some babysitted driving.

I can drive 6, 6, 10, so I let it be there, feels ok. I don't have a clue what this "simulation" means.

I think CS tyre are better choice for realistic feeling. You are slower, but there is more room for using throttle, which help steering.

I tried front CS and rear RH. There is understeer, but rear end is ok ( doesn't slide. ) Interesting, should I make some conclusion about this when doing normal setup or should I just give my brains a holiday about this?

Edit: Good videos. Looks like Evora has tendency to slide also in real life. Nice to see that Evora in the game is close to real. Big question is how catch the slide - easier to control in real life but very difficult in this game. Throttle is the best way for me at the moment ( like Ode said earlier ) with this MR car.

@Jouni, keeping body weight transferred on desired side on corner entry, not upsetting suspension with unnecessary weight transitions, small steering inputs are just fine.
Overall most important thing, weight transfer. Control it with your steering, braking, throttle controls. Even small lift on throttle multiplies front wheels steering ability, use all these combined.

Concentrate your watching on inputs, effects, g-meter.
Minor movement on steering wheel during braking on corner entry is meaningful, transferring weight of body on desired side, lifting throttle when needing bit more steering, slamming throttle when stabilising car mass on rear springs etc..
On tight left hander before main straight and few turns earlier you see that "front camber kicks in before understeer wins".

Thank You Ode.
This kind of driving school video with setup and explanation how to drive is extremely good for everyone who want to improve driving skills. I'm sure there are many who can take some hints to own driving and also hints for making own setup.

Now we have carefully built replica, example setup, instructions how to drive fast and video. Perfect.

Well done.

@Jouni, I had to thank you, without your posting about Evora at Willow Springs I would never even try more Evora on GT6. Now it's just one funny cars on my garage.
Thinking to search Elise data for replicating it too, another car what I really dislike, maybe Evora has changed this too. We'll see that later.

Edit: Done with Elise S2 111R replica, nice to drive. I'm starting to like more and more Lotus cars Smile

As you see I toke shortcut and tested how this feels on Evora LSD, well, and same for dampers and arb, really easy replica to make, really well behaving car.
Again using Nitron Fast Road series aftermarket spring/damper set F/R 400lb/in - 475lb/in.
Confort soft or lower are fine, works sports hard and above too.
Stock Rims!

That was fast. Are all the values ( camber, toe, gearbox, ride high, etc ) from real Elise?

There is always room in my garage for a well done replica. I must check this car immediately.
