Since alot of people have been posting threads on this i thought i'd make this to save them time waiting for a answer.
What causes this error?
This error code is caused by an incorrect CID.
How do i fix this?
Easiest
Fix 1. Simply change your CID via CCAPI, yes it's that easy (you'll need to do this everytime you load the console)

Fix 2. Download PS3ITA Manager You must login or register to view this content. load it up and goto network settings, then press restore original CID, next you'll need rebug toolbox You must login or register to view this content. open it and scroll right to "Utilities" and then scroll down until you find "Change Active PS3ID" (which i believe is the bottom option) and set your EID to "CEX", close rebug toolbox and try sign in!

Just wanted to say that this is incorrect; if the ID is banned it will either show it directly or show the error 0x8002A227, not 0x8002A224. 0x8002A224 is reserved for incorrect IDPS only; if the IDPS is correct and registered, but banned though, the error 0x8002A227 will appear (which is by default replaced by the message that the console was banned).

I just switched my Rebug 4.70.1 REX from CEX to DEX which resulted in this error, i fixed it by using Rebug Toolbox to change the IDPS to CEX LV2. I can now sign in to PSN. However, when i launch GTA 5 and try to go online it tells me im signed out, when im actually signed in. I cannot for love nor money get it to work, i've tried switching back to CEX and its the same. I'm now back on DEX and re-installing the entire game hoping it'll work.
Anyone else had this issue and can shed some light on the matter? Cheers

You can set the CID in PSITA manager
and it will set cid everytime you open the manager

I assume they spoof their IDPS to CEX LV2 with Rebug Toolbox everytime they boot up their PS3 as they are on Rebug firmware. That's what I do with 4.70.1 Rebug DEX and I don't get the error

I get this error im on rebug dex i have a idps thats set everytime i boot it up and also have a psid set to load whenever it boots up and i get the error 80710092 my np environment is np and ik the cid works because it signs me in sometimes but its random and its annoying anyone know how to fix?

i'm CEX and Getting this error , i hope it's the CID WRONG but what if i'm cex and Still getting this???
