(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I soft bricked my PS3 and I was told to buy a dock to reformat it. Well after I reformat it and try and run the system update it does the loop where it restarts and doesnt completely finish the install. I have tried looking up forums on how to fix this error code loop but I cannot find a fix everytime I try something new it just goes back to the screen that says The System software cannot be run correctly. Press the PS button to try to restart the system. Then it says connect storage media that contains update data of version 4.70 or later. PLEASE HELP ME OMG I havent been able to run this PS3 for a month now I really want to be able to use it again. PS I am able to go to the recovery screen if that matters.

I downgraded to 3.55 then I got my steps mixed up and tried to install Habib 4.70 when this occurred. Still was on OFW.

Are you able to get into the recovery menu? If you are install 999 downgrader via recovery menu as this has worked as a fix for soft bricks before

I tried doing the system update and it goes back to the loop. Does it matter if I have my flashdrive plugged in with OFW 4.75?
