i am backing up my sister's Disney Sing It...i chose that cuz it's a very small game and it would take the shortest time to back up will edit this post when it's complete

yes it does work!
so do i have to jb every time i want to play the backups? cuz i turned off my ps3, just to test, and turned it back on
the install .pkg is gone but the back up manager is still there.
when i try to load backup manager i get Error 8002A227
if everything still okay, cuz thats supposed to be the ban error....
im updating now cuz it was just a proof of concept...i just hope i can still use my ps3

Yes everytime you want to use your backups you have to use the jailbreak or else your going to get that error

damn it!!!! well i already updated so...oh well
i really have no need for backups though cuz the games i really want i buy and there aren't many games i just want to try out
but why are people getting the error if it's a banning error?

I really dont know why people are getting this error I just know that I got the error when I didnt have the jailbreak running. And im just gonna stick and not play online because I really feel that this jailbreak is gonna open up alot of things for the ps3 and I dont wanna risk not being able to have it because I updated too early..
