(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); so my friend is giving me his ipod nano 1st gen but the problem is that the picture on the screen doesnt display. It still work normally if you know where to navigate to and a pc will recognize it. So my question is does the screen matters if you cant see anything on it or if it does matter can someone tell me where to navigate to or if someone knows how to fix the problem without replacing parts can post what to do. This is the program that I was talking about. Supposovly you just connect one of the the types of iPods that a you can select then it automaticcly installs the stuff in order to jailbreak your ps3 then you shut the power off on your ps3, then unplug the power cable, then plug in the iPod with your iPod connector, then plug in the power cable, turn power on while fastly pressing the eject button and you should see the two folder which you install everything. ok thanks, i will get back to you on how this works out, but by directions i meant on the ipod, i kn ow all of that what you writ, but what do i click on the ipod when its connected to ps3 to go to the jailbreaking mode ? thanks

supposovly you just scroll at the very bottom and psgroove should be there. Then you click it to run it. But I dont know since my ipod screen is screwed up

ok I got the two folder showing on my ps3 but the the top one give me a error and the second folder is empty. The biggest problem that I have though now the ipod wont recognize on my pc. So can anyone help me delete everything on my pc about the ipod and format the ipod

If you're not using IPL then once the Nano boots into RockBox, it's in JB mode. Just plug into PS3 and flick power switch, tap power then eject and you're done.

The first folder is where games get mounted to (won't work until you select a game) when using backup managers, the 2nd is for installing packages (PKG files). Plug in a standard usb flash stick and install from there.

To get it detected by PC, boot Nano into Apple OS and plug into PC. Rockbox doesn't have the storage mode. If you haven't got IPL, on "Hold" boots one, off "Hold" boots the other (can't remember which is which right now)..
