Well I know how to dump the nand. AND all I have to do now is find the NAND in the ps3. I'll open up my ps3 and find it soon. If and when I find it, I can erase all contents on it by setting a large voltage of the opposite polarity. Bassically it pulls the electrons off the FG through quantum tunneling. Once we do this, we SHOULD be able to downgrade. And i'll have to have a new HDD, or reformat my current one, as %60 of the firmware is stored on the HDD. And if I have to, i'll install a new flash reader.. >.> ALSO: Don't ask me questions about what I just said if I confuse you.. It's REALLY hard to explain. If I manage to find something usefull, i'll post it.
Im pretty sure the Firmwire is flashed to the Board after updating, so you would have to be able to extract your NAND, dump it, edit the firmwire some how and then reflash.. even then sony has checks to see if the update is the right one, good luck.
Lol he basically just said "I know how to downgrade, I first need to desperately search for the NAND, then i gotta throw it in a pool of lava! Then we will be able to downgrade! "
If only hacking the PS3 was as simple as hacking the wii...
So let's see here, last night you posted a fake PUP signer.
Tonight you post this garbage.
Let's take a look and disassemble your "idea"
You know how to dump the nand, but don't know how to determine or find it? How are you dumping it? Even then so what good is it to you? You will have destroyed any and all data on the NAND, what then? Will it even start up? Because you do realize (at least from my personal experience in the xbox world) what is stored on there is everything. INCLUDING how it operates when you push the power button. So now with nothing on it my guess is that it won't do anything and you will have a dead console.
You are going to send large voltage into a small micro controller. Well now that is a GREAT idea. Just burn it up with one large voltage pop. You do realize that even a small amount of static electricity is enough to fry sensitive electrical components?
So you take a smart sounding term, throw it into a post and expect people to believe you? It has very little to do with what you want it's not even funny.
I lol'd you are the smartest guy I have seen on these forums that knows his shit about a console, Its good to have people like you around that put the noobs back in their place. Thank you.
Once again you need to understand further what you are talking about.
You do not format it, and like I said and proved with my xbox example, a blank NAND gets you a dead console, not a place to start from.
Keep in mind as well, efuses ARE present in the PS3 CPU die. No one knows if they are used or not.
Windows has NOTHING to do with this, think ASM
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Xbox 360 Jtag exploit blow the efuses or something like that? I looked into it, not much, but a bit to help a friend. If so could the key to unsigned code be similar to that? (Keep in mind I have no idea what a efuse does)
this sounds easy but with the tools you need its gonna be hard to get, this is kinda BS because as shiver said he posted stuff before that didnt make sense. Boo him off the stage!
