I just started posting info today and I have been in the hax scene for a while(psp,ps2,xbox 1) so I keep my info clear and precise. Worked for me, Proof picture's below.

All i did was.

1. Create a Folder Called "PS3" on my Desktop
2. Created a Subfolder in "PS3" Called "UPDATE"
3. Downloaded .zip file (You must login or register to view this content.)
4. Extracted it and sent the PS3UPDATE.PUP to "UPDATE" folder
5. Put USB In PS3 Slim
6. Went -> Settings -> System Update -> Update via Storage Media
7. Went threw installation notices
8. Got the beeps (about 9 of them) and it shutdown.
9. Turned PS3 Back on.
10. Working Perfectly.
11. Dragged test.pkg on to USB
12. Put back in PS3 and went to "Install package Files" and test.pkg was there and it worked.

Confirmed Working on PS3 Slim 3.55

OK HERE IS HOW IT IS DONE:

1. Install OFW 3.55 from Recovery
2. Install GEOHOT PUP from XMB

thats it. worked for me!

I just wen't from KAKA's CFW to OFW Then Geohots. his .pkg file works fine. It';s a 'Unrestricted file' at the bottom and put '0000' and it should load

Firstly, you should be on OFW, if your on CFW, make sure your on OFW. After your on OFW, just install geohot .pup file
System update > via storage > then it should work

works it only with slim or fat too?

It worked with my fat and geohot's slim so yeah it works with both. Just need to try packages now.
