TION:This Custom Firmware for the PS3 increases the system features of your console to
allow the installation and execution of homebrew applications.
This Custom Firmware could allow too the loading of legal copies (backups) using
these new included features.
RISK OF BRICKS:
Update: Follow the below list. Find your model # on the PS3 itself. Do not attempt this with 256MB NAND.

whoever the OP is please add this to your first post.
To make it clear
the listed FAT models will brick 100%:
CECHA
CECHB
CECHC
CECHE
CECHG
So pretty much any ps3 that is using the old 256mb Nand has the highest chance of bricking, another way to look at it is if your ps3 was manufactured BEFORE December 2007 it has the 256mb nand so it will most likely brick any ps3s after 2008 have a higher chance of succeeding because they have the new 16mb Nand however this does not mean it won't brick.
Please report if you have model other than those listed and it bricked.
DO NOT UPDATE WITH THIS FW UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO RISK YOUR PRECIOUS PS3! JUST BE PATIENT AND WAIT FOR A MORE STABLE RELEASE!

Hi WOULD LIKE TO ASK THIS I HAVE ONE PS3 THAT IS RUNNING ON 3.41 FW THAT HAS BEEN JAILBROKEN AND ONE PS3 THAT HAS 3.55 GEOHOTZ CFW I WANT TO ASK DO YOU THINK IT A GOOD IDEA TO UPDATE THE PS3 THAT ON 3.41 TO GOEHOTZ 3.55 OR THE OTHER NEW CFW AND USE MY OTHER PS3 AS A NORMAL ONE IF ANYONE HAS A GOOD IDEA PLZ GET BK THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP
