Create another folder called UPDATE within the PS3 folder. Put the .PUP file in the UPDATE folder

Put USB in PS3 Turn off PS3, press and hold power button until the ps3 comes on and goes back off, press and hold power button again until PS3 beeps once followed by team more beeps in succession. Plug in controller with USB and press PS button, go to bottom and press X then press select and start at the same time when prompted. Install OFW.

Step 2 CFW Download Lv2 Pre-Patched CFW here (this should fix the problem people are having with Kmeaw freezing occasionally) You must login or register to view this content. replace the CFW with the OFW on the USB and do the same thing you did to install OFW

Step 3 BackUp Download You must login or register to view this content. and the newest MultiMan (released today) here You must login or register to view this content. put them in the root of your USB, don't put them in any folder, install the PKGs on PS3 go to MultiMan and back-up your game after back-up just pick the game you want to load

anyway.. how come when i backup up my B.Ops Copy to ps3 HDD and play it from HDD i dont need to do anything (regarding signed files)?

It's the exact same firmware just with the Lv2 already in the CFW instead of a separate package to help fix freezings and stuff of that sort

Because you ripped the entire game from the disc so you have all the files you would get from the PKG download such as EBOOT etc

so if i backup a Game using my PC's Blu-Ray drive and then transfer all the files to PS3 without changing anything... do i need signed files or not?

and what kind of game would require signed files and why? (if you could give an example please)

No as long as you have Eboot and Param then theres no need for the PKG the PKGs are primarily to show the game outside of the Manager as it would PSN downloads so that you dont have to go into the manager to load the game then go back out and play it


MultiMan is the best in my opinion
