Basically what I believe it does is, depending on how you wire it, you can get controlled bursts of on/off on/off on/off (I think).
A while back the guy who actually invented/built the lag switch told me about this, along with another lag method that I haven't yet tried. In fact the method he told me about has only been mentioned once anywhere on the net publicly, and I may have been in the very few who he actually told. From all my searching and reading over these boards and other places, nobody seems to know about this method or they just aren't saying anything about it (understandable).
Like I said, I haven't tried it yet because I didn't meet a certain requirement to pull it off, but now I think I have that chance. And I believe it's possible to obtain infinite lag with this method, and even better when used with a timer. Although that us just my own guess, as I never asked him how long the lag lasted.
He goes by the name 'The Cydicate', and to say the least...he is damn good with computers and can pretty much do anything he wants in regard to them. If any of you ever played the original Socom's on the PS2, he was one of the pioneers, if not THE pioneer in hacking the game. He was one of the founders/creators of Code Majic, and was the first to make the lag switch (believe it was called the Majic switch). Last time I talked to him, he told me still to this day his original lag switch was the only 'real' lag switch and never told anybody exactly how he did it. People ended up with the method that is known now. Which as he put it "These don't work that well, if at all". He told me how he did the real lag switch, and I am very anxious to try it out to see how it does in comparison to the method that is known by most now.
