He's hoping that like a physical lag switch the network switch gives extra time before it picks up on the voltage difference so he is hoping that while blocking the packets it will still take longer to pick up the difference I think its worth a try
Well, I've never used cain and abel to make lag, nor have I tried using any sort of nettools stuff. But can you control how much you flood your router? (If that's whats cain and abel is doing). Cause if you lower the amount of flooding done to your router in combination with a physical lag switch, you might get some interesting results.
