Say you had a SEX PS3 on 4.46 OFW, could you install the 4.50 'Retail-to-Kiosk' firmware on it as a way to update to 4.50 OFW? Or does it HAVE to be 4.50 SEX OFW from Sony for it to install.
...if you still don't understand it, it's okay. It's not that important.

It should work because my understanding is this is is a SEX based firmware patched to allow install on CEX machines, correct? I just want to know if it would work is all, I don't have a SEX PS3 to try it on so I'm just asking is all.

Sadly, no. SEX firmwares have been tried and tested and do not lead to any form of jailbreak. They have the same ECDSA algorithm protecting them just like normal CEX firmware.

So pretty much you can't hack/host lobbies with this? Only install retail packages even though these packages are hard to get or find?
