Okay, so most everyone has heard that Metal Gear Solid 4 is getting a trophy patch in about a month or so:

So I decided to preempt the patch release date and upload my saves for the game when I earned the Big Boss emblem back in '08. I've got three saves ready to go here:
- One save is just before the Liquid fight at the end of Act 5 on The Boss Extreme Difficulty. As long as you beat Liquid within about 15-20 minutes, you should be good to get the Big Boss Emblem/Rank. Remember to skip all of the cutscenes to make the time limit needed for the Rank.
- One save is just after the above save, thus, Liquid has been beaten and you're ready to watch the end of the game (skip all of the cutscenes to make the time limit).
- The final save is on Liquid Easy and it's after I've beaten the game many times and I've gotten all but the Panther rank (I think it's Panther I need, anyway -- hey, it was four YEARS ago). Every item in the game has been acquired at this point and it's right at the start of Act 4 (Shadow Moses base).

I've lost my saves, they where on my old YLOD ps3 -____- I hope it works when the trophy patch is out.

Yeah, you could probably do that since the game has been released... but the purpose of this is for the TROPHY SUPPORT that's coming very soon. You'll likely need CFW or Xploder to hack the trophies.

As I stated in the first post, THERE IS A TROPHY PATCH COMING OUT FOR THE GAME SOON. IT ISN'T OUT YET. As of today, NO ONE knows what trophies will be for the game, but I'm just going on the assumption that beating the game on the hardest difficulty and/or getting the highest rank in the game. These saves provide that.

i know what u mean.
but all trophy patches disable trophies for the old game save.in order to get trophies u have to start a new game after install the patch
i dont think there will be any difference for mgs4.

So, then, all you have to do is take out the PARAM.PDF and the MGS4.SAV files from these saves, swap them with the same files in your own NEW post-patch save, resign to Xploder and then copy that newly created save over yours. Why would that be so complicated? (even though I probably made that sound complicated just now... lol)

it doesnt matter who the save belongs to.
even if its ur own save it will disable trophies.resighing wont make any difference.
the version of saves is in the mgs4.sav but not ur param.*

As Fakeshadow said the patch will not allow you to use any old saves
as in the Vita version after update of MGS2,3 if you use any old saves it wont work on PS3 or vita
as they add lines in the PDF files ,, for more details check saves set post buy YNO we discussed it all there
but any way thanks for posting we never know it could for some reason work but I think it is 1/100 but still a chance
