Okay, so most everyone has heard that Metal Gear Solid 4 is getting a trophy patch in about a month or so:

So I decided to preempt the patch release date and upload my saves for the game when I earned the Big Boss emblem back in '08. I've got three saves ready to go here:
- One save is just before the Liquid fight at the end of Act 5 on The Boss Extreme Difficulty. As long as you beat Liquid within about 15-20 minutes, you should be good to get the Big Boss Emblem/Rank. Remember to skip all of the cutscenes to make the time limit needed for the Rank.
- One save is just after the above save, thus, Liquid has been beaten and you're ready to watch the end of the game (skip all of the cutscenes to make the time limit).
- The final save is on Liquid Easy and it's after I've beaten the game many times and I've gotten all but the Panther rank (I think it's Panther I need, anyway -- hey, it was four YEARS ago). Every item in the game has been acquired at this point and it's right at the start of Act 4 (Shadow Moses base).
Okay, enough of that... here are the saves:

Yeah, I'm afraid they won't work either. I hope they do, but just in case they don't, I'll update the original post to say that it doesn't work with these saves. But I'll be sure to leave the link to the saves... just in case someone wants to run around with the Big Boss mask on.

As someone who has completed the game 9 times and has one item to unlock (the ipod track for unlocking all emblems) I seriously hope it is compatible with old saves. It's going to be a fucking nightmare clearing this game 5 or 6 times just to unlock that one song for the gold. I'd rather just rush it using my saves as I'd only have to rush the game three times for end titles (36, 37 and 3

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I was going to just post the Boss Extreme saves, but I thought what if there were a trophy for getting all of the items too? I think that "Liquid Easy save" (where I've beaten the game 8 times over) is missing only one iPod track -- I think its the one you unlock when you get either the Panther or the Jaguar rank (so you'd have all of the emblems/ranks)... I just wish I could remember which one I need on that last save and then I could post what it is. :/

they already said that you have to complete the game over again. so no saves will work unless it is after the trophy update.

...but I highly doubt that Konami is talking about CFW or Xploder unlocking trophies when they said that, though.
One way or the other, it's all good -- if these saves unlock trophies, great. If not, then I'll keep the saves links there and update the wording of the first post to reflect that they don't unlock trophies once the patch is actually released (again, just in case someone just wants the saves just to have them). If someone else posts a Platinum save for the new patch, then I can always just delete my save links so there is no confusion. So no harm no foul.

if exploder works i'll probably just use it for that horrible big boss emblem because i do not wanna go through that pain and breaking of controllers again lol.
