(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Game Genie's Advanced Mode allows you to hex Edit Borderlands 2 saves
Heres Some things That i've Found

Modding Your Level:
For now the max level you can go to is 127 anything higher it tells you you're missing DLC.
You must login or register to view this content.
Now the Highlighted Number and Dot is what you need to Change.
if you are level 50 The HEX number will be 32 on your save. I changed it to 7F to be level 127

Modding Your Backpack Slots:
For now the max is 127 anything higher won't work.
You must login or register to view this content.
Now the Highlighted Number and Dot is what you need to Change.
if your slots are 27 The HEX number will be 1B on your save. Ichanged it to 7F to have 127 Slots

If you want different hex numbers use this sit for converting numbers:

Heres a save that is de-encrypted i can't say it will load but if you open the SAVE0004.sav up in Hex edit program you can see the text like you can in game genie.. i'm posting this for people that do not have game Genie and would like to try and find a new "Hack" or just look through the file

Good Luck & lemme know what you find.

Will Update With New Mods That I Find And I Will Share.

There could be a workaround but i don't know it.

Is there a way to mod true vault hunters mode/all areas located with game genie or is it only with original game saves?

You can do that with Gibbed editor. But I don't know any way to resign the changed SaveFile.sav into a working SAVE000X.SAV BL2 PS3 game save container.

After over 3 hours of trial and error using game genie, I have found out how to edit the backpack space to 3,202 and probably even higher with more testing. If anyone is interested or want me to make a post on how to do that let me know.

Very cool achievement !!! What class or character have you modded?

I am interested to learn about that large back pack space. I could only get 127 without the "You don't own the DLC for this level yet" error message in BL2 Game loading stage.

Cheers,

I managed to do it on a Siren. But it will work on any class. The only reason why you can't go over the 127 (7F) mark is because anything higher then that and the save file requires an additional 1 byte block to be added after an offset value of 7F.

I dont know much about Hex editing but with so much trial and error I noticed that if you have your backpack space at 127 and go to the blackmarket and buy the backpack SDU the game will increase your backpack above 127 to 130. Check your data in game genie and you will notice that your backpack space offset has been changed from 7F (127) to 82 (130) and next to it there will be an additional block added of a value of 01
Then I went ahead and changed that new offset block to 19 and was presented with 3202 backpack space. If you change it to 07 you will be represented with 898 backpack space which i think is the best so far to avoid crashes and game freeze...

If you are already at 127 and bought all the backpack space SDU then im afraid i dont know another way to add that additional 1 byte block. And also im pretty sure if i can somehow add that 1 byte block after the level offset then maybe the level could be increased...maybe.....

Just a quick note though, you do not want fill up your backpack over 1500 as i did that and everytime i access the inventory and drop items the ps3 would freeze. i have narrowed my backpack down to 900 items so far.. Anyways hope this helps.

Above are the 2 pictures / screenshots from GOD for Siren class.

The 7F for Back Pack space is marked as address Offset: 0x00000864
Can you please tell me the exact Offset for your position of 07 = 898 BP size?

From there I can adopt it to the Axton related addresses.

Leaving freezes aside, I think that a gigantic 3000+ BP space may not even be practical. Scrolling down will take forever.

Sincerely,
Bon
