Post: Easy YLOD Fix

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); You will need:

4 big washers (diameter 40mm, hole 8mm and 1mm thick)

- Can be found in hardware stores for around £1 each.

1.) Remove the upper cover, blu-ray drive and the PSU.
2.) Place the washers on the screws of the cooling blocks.

3.) Screw the screws as tight as you can (apply same pressure to screws)
4.) Cut a small piece out of the washer in the bottom right.

These washers add more pressure to the screws.


Note: This is not my tutorial, I found it then summarised it.

I tried for my PS3, but it didn't worked. Still that stupid sound when you turn it on.
