He might have used that to start, but the lobby mods do not require a dev console, debug console or anyting like that, though if you had one I am sure the task would be simpler even.

Couldn't you like do what shane does load up ps3.proxy and start the patch stop at 10% then go to ps3.proxy replace ur modded patch with the 1 u installed then bypass using rfom and then see if it works? because your not reinstalling the patch again are you but since you replaced it it wont ask for you to download update because your bypassing.. if you dont get me pm me

alright so i read a little about what hunter siad about the challenge lobby being easier then the prestige hack and i have some past experience with psp hacking so my theory is that if a custom firmware is possible on ps3 maybe hunter has some kind of hacking program like on nitepr on psp maybe its on ps3 like a plugin like it would be on psp becuz i used to f#ck up lobbys on psp with that program maybe if he has something similar but like in some ps3 version and i remember seing some codes on here for all those different hacks well in nitepr u had to put codes in a txt file stored in F:\seplugins\nitepr.txt maybe thats how but im just spitballing here

yes u could delete it all u have to do is go to transaction download list and download it again u dont have to pay the psn recognizes that

I've heard a lot of stuff about "Custom Firmware", and I have a theory.

What about, instead of using CUSTOM Firmware, we use the OLD Firmware which still has Other OS enabled and find a way to bypass the System Update thing. This will enable us to get online with Linux running our unscripted program (Challenge Lobby Mod)

That has been tried.....The PS3 will not allow you to install older fw. Even with a proxy. Even by chagning the version number. Even by using 2 usb drives, and swaping in the middle of the update.

I have a EEprom loader, and have access to 300+ different plates to install the Flashes into, I may be able to erase and reflash my eeprom to an earlier FW, not something I am willing to do, since I have an old one that has FW 2.04 on it.
