You can update via storage media.
Just make your your FW in .PUP format.

IMO,we are going nowhere by saying theories just so 9/10 people quote you and say

TLR-With 9/10 people just flaming and 1/10 people helping with constructive criticism;we are going nowhere,and if we are we are going VERY slow...to the point where we would probably be busy with PS4 when we finally find out how to do this.


Anyways;a theory I just made in 10 seconds,and I'm sure 100k people have said it,why not try a similar way that was used to downgrade PSP firmware,so we can use custom firmware,and put hacks in it?

I honestly cdan't belive you think that I dont know you can use a "Storage Device". The key works was USB drives. That a storage device.

You can't use your own fw cause of SONYS Signature. The files will be corrupt. Or you get a network error.

As far as trying nto trick the ps3 to thinking it is something else (to downgrade).. You get network error.

So please go on with that all. Read and Understand someones post before you reply.

I didn't mean downgrade, what I meant was find a PS3 that already has the old firmware and then just try to bypass the System Update so we can get online with it.

Ah, yeah.. There are acutally people that do that

step1:copy your save game to your pc
step2:copy all text in the save game to some where
step3:go to mw2 online
step4:go in to a match and earn a title/emblem
step5:copy your save game to your pc
step6:look for changes on the savegames ANY CHANGES
(best is getting marathon or lightweight titles/emblems)
