trust me this tutorial is fine. my way is more for if u have a shop (needs to be quick and stuff)
but with this if u save plain ps3 gsc's and unedited zlib blocks somewhere that sets u up pretty quick. (as i guess albamahit has done)

Keep in mind. I get thte black screen with "certain" patches.
This works perfect with Mossy's, that is why I used it in this.
Try a different patch. That is most likely your problem.
