(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My controllers has an average life of 6 months.

All my controller's left joystick are ****ed.... From click it and pushing forward to run in MW2 and Blackops, the plastic edge has dug into the joystick stick.

In other words, after like 3 months the round cylinder of the joystick's base is half cut from friction....

Sony should use appropriate polymeres imo.

Am i the only one having this issue ?

The base of my joystick (lol) is carved out, but it has been my first controller for over a year now, i might put something on it so it doesn't break.

I've used mine for about a year playing alot of MW2 and now black ops.

It's harder to sprint for some reason. The left stick won't press down as easy as it would.

Thats the issue I'm having with my controller. Sorry I can't really help you with yours.

Do a barrel roll!
yeah just get (high quality) super glue underneath the rubber to stick it in place then get a lighter and melt it so its in shape to the plastic inside and its as good as new or just melt it without superglue w/e Happy

I have a silver one that won't connect to my other PS3 no matter what, it says on one PS3, I did everything! (trust me)

I agree. I have had the two controllers ever since I bought my PS3 which was one of the very first FATs.
My controllers are especially messed up from using the tactical button layout in the Call of Duty series. I think the controllers durability is shocking. My character in the call of duty series will not stay still they move on their own because the joysticks get stuck; which is also annoying!
So your not the only person with this problem but it is unlikely to change.

same thing here but

i usually clean it with a toothbrush occasionally, and add a little oil to the area so that it wont wear out and dig in to the joystick as you described, with the oil added it glides and performs better than new

the plastic on the controller doesnt seem to get worn out but the stick itself does leading me to believe that the plastic on the base of the stick is a weaker softer type, dont know why they dont use the same type for both the stick and controller, that could solve the problem

also the springs on the R2 and L2 dont last long either there very cheap and weak
