Well Some of you may know that a new tool has come out that can decrypt the CORE_OS_PACKAGE.pkg and the lv1.self and lv2.self Files ►You must login or register to view this content.
Well You must login or register to view this content. over @psgroove used that program and it ACTUALLY WORKS!!! So he decided to go looking into the lv1.elf file and found this useful peice of text [You must login or register to view this content.] (It was to long to post)....
This led him AND me to believe that Sony really didn't "Completely" remove the OtherOS Feature, Which may mean that sony *might* have plans to bring it back

yes i was the one that scouted, i tried it aswell and yeah it failed on me too, we'll just have to wait and see, and why dont you post your findings here as well?

ahhhhh... That makes one to many Forums to post on... and to many things to follow all at one time. I am mainly on PsGroove because it is the only website at my school thats not blocked besides psx-scene... I will start doing it now cause i got scouted

my guess would be that they are trying to use it as a failsafe or something

Maybe... I wouldn't know i just glimpsed at the code for a couple of seconds and read through most of the code. But if we could find some way to decrypt all the random characters into different files. (That WIll Be The Day)
But i also found something about the USB_DONGLE in the lv1 i will post it if anyone wants me to

BTW I Posted the _USB_DONGLE_AUTH_USB_DONGLE_ For the LV1
You must login or register to view this content.
Look at the 4th line for "_USB_DONGLE_AUTH_USB_DONGLE_" This tells you its the Dongle Authentication... and look at the second to last if you look closely you can see the word ELF... telling you that it is also an elf file...
Now all we need to do is find a way to decrypt that and if im correct we will be able to jailbreak from the USB Dongles again like in 3.41
