Well Some of you may know that a new tool has come out that can decrypt the CORE_OS_PACKAGE.pkg and the lv1.self and lv2.self Files ►You must login or register to view this content.
Well You must login or register to view this content. over @psgroove used that program and it ACTUALLY WORKS!!! So he decided to go looking into the lv1.elf file and found this useful peice of text [You must login or register to view this content.] (It was to long to post)....
This led him AND me to believe that Sony really didn't "Completely" remove the OtherOS Feature, Which may mean that sony *might* have plans to bring it back

I wouldn't really want linux on my ps3, having it on my pc is much better

He actully correct on this Lv1.elf does have otheros ill show proof on this on my release of all the files decrypted!!! i have modded some of the files and i just need the key to repack it!!!!

personally, i think they left it in there to avoid being sued. When you buy a ps3 n-i-b, it clearly states in the manual that OTHEROS comes with your ps3. Otherwise its called false advertisement.
I know it says they can remove whatever they want without notice in the Licences agreement... but if that is so... they need to change their manuals, and box for now on. If not... its still considered false advertisement.

It might still be in the firmware/system because of their court case. They have very experienced and good lawyers etc and they probably knew or realised somewhere down the line that it was illegal.

Here are the keys i Used to unself the lv1.self and lv2.self as well as CORE_OS_PACKAGE.pkg
lv1 key:

Just place each key in a separate text file and name it (For lv1) 356.lv1key and (For lv2) 356.lv2key
There Now you have the keys to repack them

Those are just some stuff from converting to itunes... they are not keys and that has been confirmed. So please dont post something that is incorrect {in a matter of speaking}
