Well Some of you may know that a new tool has come out that can decrypt the CORE_OS_PACKAGE.pkg and the lv1.self and lv2.self Files ►You must login or register to view this content.

Well You must login or register to view this content. over @psgroove used that program and it ACTUALLY WORKS!!! So he decided to go looking into the lv1.elf file and found this useful peice of text [You must login or register to view this content.] (It was to long to post)....


This led him AND me to believe that Sony really didn't "Completely" remove the OtherOS Feature, Which may mean that sony *might* have plans to bring it back

I don't think Sony has any plans to bring it back, maybe just keeping it there just in case.

they'll probably bring back OtherOs (other Operating System) (linux)

soo...if this thing can decrypt 3.56 lv1 and lv2...what are we missing to sign them for 3.56 for a downgrade?

they probably turned off with this or they have to leave that part in but take other os out completely so the system could boot properly

(To my knowledge) I think we need the private keys to downgrade 3.56

We are still missing the private keys which geo has found he stated that in his blog but he won't release or tell how yet

we only need the lv2 diag i think you put it on usb root when you downgrade or something like that
