(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Im tired of people complaining about PSN not being up here is my theory to why, Tell me what you think.

Sony blog's state that they are taking care of this as fast and sufficient as they can. If Sony was'nt handling this the right way law enforcement would'nt be involved.

I think Sony keeps delaying the time for two reasons.

One: Sony needs to find The person/group responsible for this outcome first.

Two: without Sony knowing who was responsible for the intrusion the question remains "can it happen again?". Regardless of new security measures, This attack was labeled as "a highly sophisticated cyber-attack" i would stall as Sony is doing untill the person/group responsible is apprehended and punished to assure 100% safety from it ever happening again.

Just My Theory :carling:

Yup i agree i was reading somewhere i can't remember where but it was talking about how long the process took to restore a server and make a server, In some cases it took up to 2-3 months i planned on waiting anyway lol.

No but it could possibly take the main guy away that started it. One less person, one less possibility, one less frustration.

Sony had shitty outdated security... how the eff can they say the attack is higly sophisticated while they never paid any attention to server security.
Also storing sensitive info in unencrypted plain text?? what the hell were they thinking...

Sony labeled the attack as such..but sony is full of shit, they call the attack highly sophisticated but they arent sophisticated enough themselves to have proper security and encryption on stored files wasnt needed either huh sony...

zOMg a few thousand people stole some shitty psn games that cost a few bucks..
Lets tell the world 100 million accounts were hacked so we dont have to tell them a group of people leeched from our ps store...lets compromise our worldwide reputation and lose millions of dollars cause of the thousands of dollars that got stolen from the store!!! yaaay!!
Get a brain man..

You're obviously a teenage virgin nerd who has no ****ing business work experience. If rebug users continued to steal, Sony would not generate money but worst of all the developers who put there games or made psn games would be pissed at Sony for having there games stolen in Sony's servers. Can you imagine how embarrassing Sony would look if they admitted that their PSN games were being stolen by kids using CFW rebug? I can see the goddamn headlines already. No developer would ever put there games on Sony's servers for sale because of fear of being stolen. In a worst case scenario, these developers like Activision, Bioware, Gearbox, Ubisoft, etc would sue the shit out of Sony for having there contents stolen. So there is your million dollar loss right there dumb ass. By shutting there servers, not admitting the rebug stuff and making up a story, they prevented that from happening. By lying and blaming the hackers, they didn't compromised their reputation because they found a scapegoat. In addition, Sony made up the story that personal info was being stolen, instead of saying that psn games were stolen. And if Sony didn't do this, they're ass would have been on the hot seat because the fact is that in the business world when you **** up nobody wants to hear excuses especially if it's a lot of money involved. So before you write some stupid shit about me getting a brain, do yourself a favor STFU and think for once.

I am a 26 year old software architect who has a fiancee, thank you very much.
If you cant analyse the current situation correctly, and think that sony would cover up a mistake with huge news about identity theft/cc info, then i do think you need to get a brain.

And saying Sony didnt compromise their reputation?.. how blind are you.. have you seen how many stock points they have lost? Have you even read statements several execs have made? I mean you clearly arent up to date and you clearly have no knowledge of the ps3 architecture and size of the market segment in any way..

and what are you babbling about devs sueing sony rofl, they arent sueing sony cause people are pirating their blu ray games right? and if they would sue sony then they could still do that right? content has been stolen alraedy..

but whatever rofl. nvm your right, sony lost thousands of dollars from store leechers so they decided to lose millions of dollars and suck on the nikkei, and create a fake story about 100 million of their customers havign their information out on the street.

the main thing sony needs to do

GET PSN BACK ONLINE

then deal with the aftermath later

it wouldnt suprise me if they wait until they have found the hacker/s before putting psn

thus putting there mind at rest that it will happen again
