I thank you for the kind words on my theory. Like I said I like your theory and it is a possibility. I would have to ask you to elaborate on your theory a little more as when I read it again I looked at it on a business point of view and it doesn't really seem to work looking at it from that point of view. let me elaborate on this a little your theory was and I quote
"One: Sony needs to find The person/group responsible for this outcome first.
Two: without Sony knowing who was responsible for the intrusion the question remains "can it happen again?". Regardless of new security measures, This attack was labeled as "a highly sophisticated cyber-attack" i would stall as Sony is doing untill the person/group responsible is apprehended and punished to assure 100% safety from it ever happening again."
looking at a business point of view it could take the rest of the year to find the person/ group responsible depending on how well the person/group covered their tracks let alone to catch them and get them apprehended. So with looking at a business point of view I don't think they would do that.
first they have already lost a lot of money due to the psn outage.
second they would look at it on the point of view I am and wouldn't want to risk loosing more money let alone customers knowing it could take the rest of the year to track them down and apprehend them.
I an not trying to sound like I am retracting my statement that I like your theory and it works because I really do like it and think it works at least for the average non business running people lets face it Sony is a major corporation and that is to risky to their business to follow your theory. I am not sure weather or not when you wrote your post you were looking at it on a business point of view . It was easy for me to look at it from the business point of view as my father works for a major consulting firm for rail transit and all their offices around the world are networked through the office my father works at. Keep up the good thoughts. Please don't take this post the wrong way just letting you know some deeper thought to your theory that it seems to lack the business concept.
