(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});ONLY TESTED ON FAT PS3 BOTH ARE DIFFERENT MODEL NUMBERS
I ALSO FOUND THIS WAS THE CASE WHEN I TOOK MY OWN PS3 APART ASWELL
so i found this by chance long story cut short my neighbour smashed his ps3 up and i took it off him to salvage the bluray drive from it(IT STILL WORKS)
then i noticed that when u take the ps3 apart that the hole were the security screw is that the screw doesnt actually come out the other end
also the security screw DOESNT screw into anything it SITS in the gap on the POWER PACK
once again sony cutting corners you viod your warranty when u dont have to touch the sticker
so therefore it is possible to open up the ps3 without peeling the sticker off and voiding your warranty
ive undone 2 ps3's without undoing the security screw
video shows how to slide the thin plastic top off (NOTE SECURITY SCREW IS UNTOUCHED)

the plastic what sits on the top with PLAYSTATION3 written on it sits at the side of the screw and doesnt screw into the plastic top peice what i slide off in the video
havent got a slim to test it on but i wouldnt see why it wouldnt be the same with a slim
It isn't I've stripped my Slim Ps3 down 3 times. Under the sticker is one screw that needs to be undone otherwise the lid won't lift up. But you only need to open a Ps3 if you know what your doing so you wouldn't need warranty in the first place.
