So i installed it, it restarted, then turned off. I tried to turn it back on and bam: YLOD. Basically i got the ylod from the firmware not the overheating or what-not. Any ps3 experts wanna help? Its been sitting in my bonus room for 7 months now.

Do a barrel roll!
First of all, that CFW didnt advance since it was released, so probably the worst choice between them all.

For your problem, you will need to get a flasher and do some soldering. There is programs from the spanish sites which allow you to fix it after that was done, but it is not easy at all.

YLOD is caused by over-heating the PS3.. I believe your ps3 is bricked.. When you turn it on does the green light come on, then like 7 seconds later, it just turns off? If so, then that's a brick dude.

That's an overheating problem, I have a ps3 in my kitchen cupboard with the same problem and that's never had CFW on it

you could probably get it fixed by just keep holding the button down and turning it on it will eventually fix because that happened to friend of mines and he was so pissed he just kept turning it on and it finnaly started working after a few turn ons and it was doing the same thing before so it should fix it

90% of the time Ylod is caused by overheating but sometimes it can be that the power supply has burnt out
