Sony didn't win that court case........they settled with Hotz outside of the courtroom. There was no winners as they both agreed to end the hearing as long as Hotz quit hacking on the PS3.

The jailbreaking of mobile phones in the United States is legal. (By mobile phones, ITouch and Ipads and devices alike are counted). Consoles and such are not protected so you can't jailbreak the PS3 legally yet.

It's all in time before we get it legal, you can't fight something like this when just about everyone jailbreaks.
I know. I mean you buy it you should be able to do whatever the hell you want with it.

Well yes and no. Obtaining applications through things like Installious is illegal as you are pirating software but they don't enforce it, it's too hard too and nearly impossible.

I agree with that. The piracy part should be illegal, but the actual JBing of a item shouldn't be.

I agree, well once again for phones it is not but for other devices it is. :/ I just don't get why they don't let the person who is buying do what they want with the item we buy, I mean without us these companies would be nothing...

Your such a post booster, posting stuff that has nothing to do with the thread at all. Just to get higher and higher and higher post count.

See what I did there :carling: ?

Yea, I see but the thing is this is a discussion forum. You and I started to discuss something that still had relevance to the thread topic.

You yourself just post boosted, I had not. :P
