For the PS3 the jailbreak just opens up the system in every way. It gives users full control over what they do with it. It's not the jailbreak that is to blame, it is the people who develop and release these hacks/mods.

It's legal the US to say you have a jailbroken phone, however, jailbreaking your phone and then downloading paid apps for free is still illegal. That would fall under piracy which will never become legal.

Well in Ksa when i bought a ps3 the owner asked me if i want to jailbreak it and upgrade it to 1 tb for only £100 extra plus all the transfers for patches from the computer etc are installed to the system and plus a spoofer so i don't update by mistake

he means jailbreaking is legal, but when you copyright or pirate copy apps/games thats ilegal,

Apple dont like users jailbreaking their devices due to Installous, things like that destroy jailreaking but i enjoy downloading free apps, & so do others Smile

That's exactly what Geohot did but people were able to add on and modify it to where they could take the patch data and modify things like so to create these hacks.

I have an Itouch, I get the games and then modify the data to my liking, this is why on several games I am the top 10 and on a couple I'm the 1st on the leaderboards.
