Not sure if anyone notice KaKaRoTo’s tweets a few days ago, but the man who reveals to have found the solution for 4.00 have confirmed that the newly released 4.10 is jailbreakable, but still, he advises not to update just yet.
He reiterated that install packages function works fine in 4.10 but the team who is working on the jailbreak unable to run apps in either 4.00 or 4.10 which they still need to find the exploit for.
KaKaRoTo later advises not to upgrade to the latest PS3 firmware unless it is really needed. 4.00 HEN (Homebrew ENabler) has been announced since November last year. You must login or register to view this content.
I think everyone knows deep down that there will never be a public release of a new CFW, so lets just stop posting these so called "updates" until there is a confirmed working new CFW. Thanks, and Mods just close this because this is just ridiculous
OMGZ A CFW, Now this thread gets loads of views from leechers.
But there won't be another CFW!
it's definitely not a CFW, Kakaroto already confirmed this. hopefully some of the other devs who actually have information will eventually stop holding out and actually help kakaroto move forward with getting the installed packages to run, if i had the time and the dedication, i would totally jump in and start experimenting with some of my unused ps3's to see if i can find anything useful, but i lack time and the ability to concentrate on things. as with every other person who cannot contribute to the scene, there is nothing you can do except wait.... patience is a virtue, my friend. when kakaroto feels it's ready, he will eventually release it out into the scene, and it will probably end up causing sony to go on another major judicial system-abuse streak, if i had to guess.
but yeah, back to the base point.... there probably won't be a CFW for 3.60+ anytime in the near future.... nobody wants to have Sony shove a lawsuit up their ass, which is why the scene's been mostly quiet lately.
