(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); What do you think of the K/D ratio?

I voted for option 1, as I strongly believe that K/D is the most accurate way of measuring ability in the game. A higher K/D always means a better player. People with low K/D's aren't as good in the game as people with higher K/D's (in all cases) in my opinion. What do you think?

K/D means nothing at all apart from in kill modes.
Look at some of the pro gamers , i mean pro as in play for a living there K/D is between 0.85 to 1.85.

A better player can't be measured by stats numbers lie and can tell you different things.
Only way to tell a skilled player is by watching there gameplay , see what on average they do. Do they cover teammates do they keep control of the game etc
Do they turn the game around do they talk etc

Great shame that alot of players care for K/D in public games don't go the extre mile to get a win.
Sort of blame that on the youtube of 40-2 culture.

It more fun a close game and a better game 200-199

Imo i think K/D should be removed from the scoreboard and team bonus to replace KS done.

And good players often don't play in pub games. Very rare to see a good players who willing to do what needed.

IMO, K/D doesn't mean anything. I had like a 1.8 K/D and I've been working on a montage so it's gone down quite a bit but just because someone has a higher K/D than me does that make them better? Not at all. It wouldn't bother me one bit if my K/D dropped below 1. In the end, it's all about which teams wins the game, not who has the best K/D (outside of Deathmatch obviously.)

About the pro player thing, I've actually noticed most pro players have kd. Even by playing the objective in pubs they can get an amazing kd. I know my kd in mw2 was 2.60 and and most pro players I talked to said they had atleast 1 over that. When BO first came out it was actually so boring because no one knew what to do and I could easily get 4 kd. Now people sort of understand but I still get 3.50 kds by playing the objective and trying to win.

All in all, kd matters a little bit. If I'm in a public match and I see a guy with a 4 kd and a guy with a 1 kd I'll obviously want to team with the guy with the 4. But that's judging a book by it's cover. People play differently. Some play for fun, some try hard, and others play to make videos. Honestly stats don't mean shit. I think... Because it public games you usually aren't playing with a full party so a lot of the time people on your team just screw it up.

On my phone so sorry for any bad grammar/spelling.

I don't care about K/D unless I see someone who plays the same way I do with a high kd I don't care about playing smart just care about being awsome im the type of Marathon Steady Aim Lightweight all Pro of course player you see ballin out dying cause I NEVER LOOK around occasionally go on rape sprees of like 4-15 then die about the same amount of times in a game. I absolutely hate people who play to kill and not win it pisses me off to no end when I play domination and I see people with less than 5-10 caps I usually have about 15-20 I don't care about much else as long as I get alot of kills and I win I don't pay attention to deaths they just make me mad cause they get in the way of my time to get kills I like to score like 89k-89d in a game.

K/D is an indicator of skill.

If mine is 2.40 and another guys is .98, i'm obviously going to be better than him.
I learned this from all my friends with 0.70 k/ds, who camp with claymores and aim at doors, they use the same tactics as someone with a 4.00 k/d, but they don't get it because they're not as good.

Also, if you say it doesn't matter, yours most likely is low.

Cake is a lie
It does mean something assuming it's legit...I've seen players with a damn 3 K/D and they beast. I've seen guys with .78 and they have good games or they are terrible. I mean it's not hard to have a 1.0 KD in this game unless you aren't as good as you think or you mainly play for game clips and quick scopes. As long as you can help your team win in objective modes to go along with K/D then of course it's okay. I mean it's like when ugly people try to say beauty is skin deep....Sure that's true but to act like looks dont' matter at all would be a farce...Just an analogy

KD really means nothing unless you are an UBER TryHard and have to have a good KD to prove you are a good player. Me and my mates always muck about in CoD to have fun and obviously as a result our KD's aint half as good as they could be.

That's not a fair argument though. How is being good at the game and trying to win a "Try Hard"? It's good you guys play to have fun and if you're saying IF you didn't play around for fun you're K/D would be good the ok...But how is a "Not trying hard" any better than a Try Hard?

So basically unless the guy is pissed when he has a bad KD game or if he is literally shouting at his teammates whats' so bad about being a tryhard???

I personally know I HATE being on a team where me and a few others are having decent games but then you have a pair of splitscreen guys going a combined 2-40.

I mean I understand it's just a game, but I wouldn't be having fun if I was getting raped and my K/D was like .50

It reminds me of those guys who will be 2-12 and then call the other team "campers"....No camping, fun, or playing around should EVER have you going 2-12. Some guy on my team earlier rage quit because the other team was "camping"....aka they were 1-10 so they quit to avoid further embarrassment. Camping is NEVER a valid excuse to get raped. When I have an off game I have an off game. I only blame my self.
