I voted for option 1, as I strongly believe that K/D is the most accurate way of measuring ability in the game. A higher K/D always means a better player. People with low K/D's aren't as good in the game as people with higher K/D's (in all cases) in my opinion. What do you think?

yeah i kinda get what you are saying shooter but it does make a difference in killing game modes such as ffa and tdm.

If you kd is in tdm /ffa is like .5 , then you suck ass at the game , but if you're kd is like 1.5 in Demo / Ctf and you're either the planter / runner - you're good.

Boom ur Dead
Coming from a objective game mode player. I could care less about K/D. I want the wins. With that being said I still carry a 1.76 Kdr, but give me the wins.

yeah objective game mode players dont need to have a good kd ut for a slayer type player if you dont have a good kd then you can be rule as bad.

My KDR is currently at 1.38 I am a run n gunner all the way so I think that says a little about my skill but I frankly don't really care that much about it. People have always made a high priority about KDR I don't see why because you could Boost that and get in a game and go negative so I voted for Option 2 because it does show some skill, well to be honest the only thing I take from an over 1.10 KDR is that YOU DON'T GO NEGATIVE ALL THE TIME and you actually contribute to the game/win.

SUPERIMIAINI....exactly what I was thinkin and going to say. K/D just shows if you go positive or not! Since Black Ops came out I first played TDM(Hardcore) because that's all I played on MW2 and had a good K/D. Then I wanted to rank up faster so I played Headquarters....WOW! I got my ass kicked and my K/D went to shit! I'm finally getting my K/D back up but that's why I think K/D is overrated because it doesn't say much for people who are just looking to rank up and playing for XP points. And SUPERIMIAINI is right...you can boost this very easily.

Its fine in tdm and ffa, but I hate it when you go against players in objective modes who just play for the kills... :catfight:

K/D is as important as everything else. It is all how you play the game. I play all game modes and I am very good at most of them.

My K/D is around 2.18 I think. I play for kills, I play to capture objectives, I play to win.

While I'm capturing Flags or HQs, or planting bombs, etc. My K/D is always good. It proves that you can actually defeat your opponents while focusing on achieving your objective task.
