(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); What do you think of the K/D ratio?

I voted for option 1, as I strongly believe that K/D is the most accurate way of measuring ability in the game. A higher K/D always means a better player. People with low K/D's aren't as good in the game as people with higher K/D's (in all cases) in my opinion. What do you think?

I'm going to vote option two but I just want to say one thing. KD can be a good indicator of skill, but it's important not to focus on it too much because it doesn't always tell the entire story. Too many variables to take into account.

PS. I've heard this one a lot over the years and frankly, I'm kind of sick of it so I'm going to try and set the record straight.

People generally like to classify players in two categories... (I'll use the terms used in this thread just for convenience) Try-Hards and Fun-Players.

On one hand the Try-Hards are always playing to get kills, a good KD, or whatever the case may be, while the Fun-Players could care less about stats and are all about 'having fun'. What I want to make clear is that it's not always this simple.

See the thing is if you didn't know me you would probably classify me as a Try-Hard, but the thing is, getting as many kills as I can with the least amount of deaths possible is what's FUN FOR ME. It's what I do for FUN.

Long story short, it started as a little personal challenge to get at least two kills for every death back in 2007 while I was playing Resistance... and it's been this way ever since. It's my own personal challenge on top of the games themselves.

And you guys can say how you have fun capturing flags while you die 30 times, and that's fine, because you're having fun. BUT THIS IS HOW I HAVE FUN (and many others for a matter of fact). So next time you guys see someone with a great KD, remember... They might not be try-hards, but people that have fun killing and not dieing!

Crumpets and tea?
KDR doesn't measure anything about the "skill" of a gamer. KDR especially in COD games is a measure of how much time you spend ingame camping your ass off.

That is a total crock.

I can achieve a 5.0 KDR and higher regardless of whether I'm running around or camping.

Lies. What is your psn so I can watch your matches? Cause either you are a camper, or you boosted. Theres no way in hell you can rush and always get a 5.0 k/d. maybe once or twice, but thats it. This isn't cod4, you know. They don't reward you for rushing anymore. You have to play tactically in order to be good. Rushing to you is properly running to cover, hiding behind something, and killing a person or two. Then you move on to another spot. That isn't rushing.

And yeah, K/D is pretty vital. No matter what you do, or how you play, everyone is going to be on your ass if your ratio is low. Trust me, I do that all the time lol Sure a guy with a lower k/d rapes me once in a while, but in the end I could always verbally rape him how I have a better K/D and that he was lucky lol Happy

I defeated!
I think KD really shows how much skills a plater has in public matches that and win loss ration also I think that everyone that is not handicapped should be able to keep atleast a 1KD even when you are not trying I go try hard some times and some times dont try and have a 2.8 KD
