Here is the ps3 FF that works 100% perfectly thanks to derek trotter and gigoo for sharing and godlymods for his .gsc script. You must login or register to view this content.
For all you psjailbreakers just ftp to your ps3 navigate to /dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30377/USRDIR and delete patch_mp.ff and copy over the one from the link above. next step get it on PSN.

Hey, is ther anychance you can find the .pkg file and send it me. After you download it onto your computer, using proxy server or through filezilla.
I have a few ideas I want to test.

How did you recompile this patch?

3.41 to 3.42 using the built in backup tools and backing it up with a Ethernet cable YES.
You cannot how ever make it go from 3.42 to 3.41 it will tell you the 3.41 machine needs to be updated.
