Here is the ps3 FF that works 100% perfectly thanks to derek trotter and gigoo for sharing and godlymods for his .gsc script. You must login or register to view this content.
For all you psjailbreakers just ftp to your ps3 navigate to /dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30377/USRDIR and delete patch_mp.ff and copy over the one from the link above. next step get it on PSN.

lol yeah I realised straight after posting. Stilla problem though:/. I deleted the backup i had made of it. Exited the backup manager. Insterted mw2 disc. booted it and exact same thing happens. just freezes. Gonna try with JB disabled and if that dont work il do a format of my hdd (got nothing on it)....or is there another obvious thing im missing?

First off all I'm a n00b... But I have a idea, maybe just maybe if you get a modded xbox patch and overwrite the patch_mp.ff with it. I'm just trying to help as Theunkn0wn replied to a thread about a ps3 modded patch saying,"Nice, although an easier way would be to simply grab the Xbox 360 GSC files because they are exactly the same" Also the ps3 mightn't recognise it as a hacked patch and you might be able to sign in to psn.

i know but thats what i mean when you load the patch back onto the hdd will it not replace the normal patch ??? then can you remove psjb from your ps3 and run from disc with that patch file on the hdd or does it save in a whole different area ??

First, we can see where are patch goes (because of ftp server). Second, we are editting it, not making a new one. Third, with psjp off and even a firmware update your still modded :carling:
