Here is the ps3 FF that works 100% perfectly thanks to derek trotter and gigoo for sharing and godlymods for his .gsc script. You must login or register to view this content.
For all you psjailbreakers just ftp to your ps3 navigate to /dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30377/USRDIR and delete patch_mp.ff and copy over the one from the link above. next step get it on PSN.

Can you not spoof your version . txt if you can veiw files on ftp to make it look like 4.20

I going to throw a crazy theory out here but what if you changed a thing you download off the psn store via proxy to FTP server or will not work cause its a .pkg or the checksums?

Ftp is not the one asking for firmware. Just to run code for the ps3 requires jailbreak end of story.
@Castk Pkg checksum is not the prob. Pkg can be installed without being signed by jailbreak.
But you are right (in a way). I was also thinking about this beacuse installing pkgs from jailbreak means we can use this : You must login or register to view this content.
