I'm gonna have to go with America on this one.

It's all good saying that America dropped the bomb to save more lives but look at the other countries. How many lives was lost during the war. Any country could have dropped a bomb over Germany and ended it saving more Ally lives, but they didn't. They realised that devastation would have been for too great. The soviet Union is a good example. They lost 10 million men during the war. At any point they could have got their hands on an A-bomb to drop on Germany, but they didn't. Think about this for example. You are stood next to a little child, say a 5 year old. You HAVE to choose whether you get shot, or the child burns to death. What do you choose? Anyone who had morals would choose them selves to be shot. You don't let a child burn. NOBODY should. The effects of the bomb are still around today. An estimate of the bomb was 70 000 dead instantly. That number continued to rise AFTER the bombing. That's just deaths. You also have the deformed people, and deformed BABIES still being born TODAY. The effects will be around for many years to come. Radioactivity doesn't just stop dead overnight. Even if Nagasaki and Hiroshima were producing the equipment for Japan to fight the war, it's only the same as American doing the EXACT same thing as they were, but wait, Japan didn't bomb the hell out of them did they? The women in Japan would have been in the same position as American/British women. They would have HAD to work in those factories to make them, just like in America and Britain. Basically you yourself are saying that the American woman who were doing the same job as the Japanese women were NOT innocent. They were doing the same thing. So yes, they were innocent civilians working in those towns, and if you disagree, then the American women were also not innocent. In all fairness, you presented a flawed argument that anyone who isn't American should be able to see. There is no justified reason as to why America dropped the bombs.

I believe it would have to be UK and besides Americans are essentially the UK's offspring.

This thread is just 'Where do you come from?'. I doubt many people from the UK are going to vote USA, and the other way around

So, Pearl Harbor wasn't the Japanese bombing the **** out of US even though WE WEREN'T EVEN IN THE WAR. That was a huge sucker punch to us, and yes, it is the same. Pearl Harbor was a military Naval Harbor, and they destroyed it, so we returned the favor by ****ing up two of their war cities. Only difference was, they were in the war, when they blew the **** out of Pearl Harbor, we were neutral.

It's not the same. Japan used 'normal' bombs that would only destroy the base, not cause a massive disaster that 70 years on the effects are still around. Are you still seeing effects of those bombs in new born babies to this day? Deformed people/babies? No. Yeah, you lost about 3000 men in that bombing, but that's war. If you join the army, you have to realise that any day could be your last, no matter where you are. There were many ways to retaliate. They could have dropped bombs on on their harbours, only more than they dropped on Pearl Harbour. Dropping an A-bomb on them was still not justifiable. Like I said in my earlier post, Russia lost millions more men than you. They could have easily have done the same, but they didn't, so why should America when they lost little men compared to other countries? Many Americans are like "yeah we won the wars for you". You know what? You didn't. You arrived late, for BOTH of them. The war you fight by yourself, you loose.
Why is it that nobody in the world such as Iran or Iraq can own a WMD, yet America house over 2000? Why is it that you go to war over Iraq for having a SUSPECTED WMD, and not go to war with Iran who DO/DID have more than one WMD? America doesn't own the world like you Americans think. You think it's alright to march into other peoples countries because your oil is running a little low. You think you're the "big brother" of the world for trying to keep peace, yet you can't see the reason that the Middle East hates you is for the reason you think you own the world. The reason you start wars for oil. The reason you intervene in other peoples affairs. How can you expect peace to be in the world when America starts conflicts to try and maintain it, example, Somalia 1990's. Yeah, their country was in the middle of a civil war, but you had no justified reason to go and keep peace. No other countries did. Trying to keep the peace in the middle of a civil war asks for your country to be hated more than loved. It asks for your country to be attacked. I respect all ally soldiers and I feel sorry for all the ones that have dies because they have stupid Presidents who want to go to war left right and centre. Your country couldn't bother about the lives of the soldiers, they care about the money they will make during the time of war. An excuse to increase taxes because the people are brainwashed into believing that it's right.

I hope no one is taking the personally, I'm not trying to dig at anyone, just stating what I see from my POV.

So let me get this straight...we went to war with Iraq just because we are a little low on oil? Think again. September 11th, 2001. A day that will live in Infamy. That is the day where this "country that we went to war over oil with" Sent a group of men that hijacked four airplanes and attacked our soil, taking over 2000 lives with them. Now, I understand if this were Britain, you guys would sit around and say "whatever" but her in America, if some jackass piece of shit country decides they are gonna attack us, they better be ready to put up a damn good fight so that they still have some dignity left after we kick their asses. Do I think we should still be in Iraq? No, but I do know damn well we were (at the time) justified to Invade their country. After we realized that the reason this group could attack us was because a Psychotic man was controlling have the the country, we decided we were going to prevent that from happening by removing him. Now there's one left, and we're still looking for him. That's why we are still in Iraq. You guys weren't attacked on your own soil, so you don't know what it was like. Did you lose any family members in the WTC bombings? Probably not. But lots of Americans lost family/friends/acquaintances/co-workers/etc. So think about that before saying we went to war with Iraq over oil.

Not to rain on your parade, but Osama was in Afghanistan. Saddam (from Iraq) had **** all to do with September 11th.

However I do agree with you, if someone attack my country, I'm sure going to bomb them till the cows come home.
