Post: PS3 or Xbox?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So my PS3 has been on YLOD for about 3 weeks now, and I'm trying to decide if I should buy a new PS3, or get an Xbox 360. So I'm asking the NGU community on their opinions.

Some information first that makes this choice hard:

I already have a large amount of PS3 games, plus an account with stats for a lot of games online with the PS3, but the majority of my friends have an Xbox, so I can't play online with them on the PS3.

So I don't know what to do, if I buy an Xbox I will have to pay for online play, and for all new games, but I will get to play with my friends, plus get features like cross-game chat, the better party system Xbox has, and voice-messages. I don't know if the Xbox features, plus playing with my friends, is worth all the extra money that it would cost to get an Xbox.

And you Ps3 fanboys are bitchy little dimwits who actually know nothing about hardware (notice I'm saying you fanboys, not you Ps3 players), cry about every little thing Microsoft does, and don't realize that you're one of those people. You know, the kind at that party, no one knows who invited you, no one wants you there, but they're too polite to say anything?

You assholes just want to make yourselves feel like your purchase was justified, although you're truly unhappy. Same goes with you Xbox fanboys out there.

We don't want you.

Blu-Ray = slightly faster loading times. Big whoop. Same quality and shit, what's the difference?

This I agree with. I mean, some of those fanboys are actually decent players, but there's no reason to put OpTiC or EpTiC or whatever in your name... >_<

Yep typical Xbox fanboy. You say your not a fanboy yet here you are defending the Xbox l0l0l0l

And please go read a bit about Blu Ray.

HMM My PS3 got YLOD and I didn't think twice before buying another one, my xbox got RROD about 2 years ago and it's been sitting in the bottom of my closet collecting dust...LOL. I guess you have to weight your options if you want to play with your friends then go XBOX but you have to pay. I'm sure you got friends on PSN, plus you got games and an account with stats that's just to much downside already. On the other hand you could do both, get the 4gb XBOX 360 FOR $199 if you send your YLOD PS3 to sony for $150 bucks you get a refurbished 120GB SLIM that's $350 for two systems...LOL IF YOU CAN AFFORD THIS I'Awesome face GO WITH THIS OPTION! :bro:

i would get both. oh wait i do have both. you should get both . but only if you have the money. my xbox is a paper wieght at the moment. waiting for reach to bring it out. but if you want cross came chat ps3 has that also on the ps plus. but if your a gamer you shouls have all the consoles. but if i had to pick between those 2 i would definitely go with ps3. rather not waste 500 bucks on a blu ray player or a media player . ps3 does do everything like the cormercials says

Which is exactly why I said I hate fanboys. I can see you lack the intelligence to interpret the intentions of my posts, so I won't bother with you.

The Xbox 360 has just as many issues as the PS3, and the PS3 has just as many issues as the Xbox 360. Neither console is better than the other. It's called 'personal preference'. Deal with it, dipshit. You were defending the PS3, therefore your logic has just been exposed of its flaws. In the simplest terms for your feeble mind, you're a contradiction, laddy!

If you have spent so much time and money into the ps3 already then you should stick with it. I had recently obtained the YLOD and paid $130 american to get it fixed at a local video game store. It now works like a charm. Plus i managed to save my backwards compatibility Happy Just remember that the ps3 move is going to kick the schnitt out of the xbox kinect!

If I wanted to NOT be a lazy ass and sit on the couch whole day playing call of duty I would buy a ****ing Wii.
Move and Kinect are both gonna suck, Just because they copied the Wii.

Meh, in Sony's defense, PS3 Move was being researched for and developed since the EyeToy (not for the PS3, originally, of course). >_< I dunno about Kinect, I think Microsoft just wanted to jump on the bandwagon. xD

The ideas for both the Wii and EyeToy/Move were conceived in mid-2001, I believe.

Yeah. I'd like to see them do cooler things with the technology. I want to be able to do more than play motion-sensed games with it. >_< But, I'll take what I can get. It's a really cool technology.
