(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So my PS3 has been on YLOD for about 3 weeks now, and I'm trying to decide if I should buy a new PS3, or get an Xbox 360. So I'm asking the NGU community on their opinions.

Some information first that makes this choice hard:

I already have a large amount of PS3 games, plus an account with stats for a lot of games online with the PS3, but the majority of my friends have an Xbox, so I can't play online with them on the PS3.

So I don't know what to do, if I buy an Xbox I will have to pay for online play, and for all new games, but I will get to play with my friends, plus get features like cross-game chat, the better party system Xbox has, and voice-messages. I don't know if the Xbox features, plus playing with my friends, is worth all the extra money that it would cost to get an Xbox.

Because of myself always having a playstation console I would 100% always say ps3, and also xbox are noobs, charging for online, why do that, I feel sorry for the people who actually pay for xbox live

Get a ps3...thats just my opinion had a ps2 since 2000 and now stayed with sony till now..they don't disappoint :mudkip:

So I'm with PS3... for now. I opened the whole thing up and put on new thermal compound and put a heat gun on the CPU and GPU, and it works fine now (who woulda thought?) But anyways, I'm using this until it breaks again (hopefully never) and then I'll make this decision.

It's actually beneficial to the people who pay for Xbox LIVE. You know how PSN+ gets you extra content? They get that times ten. xD

Since people pay for Xbox LIVE, Microsoft has the chance to give back to its community a lot more often than Sony does (until now, of course, Sony just released PSN+, so more than likely they will start doing what XBL does).

They often do $1 for a month discounts, give bonuses (such as Microsoft Points, Avatar Items, and bonus games/add-ons) when you buy games, etc.

Gold members often get discounts, free stuff, and the chance to partake in otherwise restricted things.

Now, with releasing PSN+, I have no doubt that it and XBL will be highly competitive with each other. I just can't wait to see what happens next. :p

Glad it worked out for you, and I hope it lasts. :p The PS3 is obviously your way to go, and in my opinion, you should stick with it. With all these new features coming out for PSN and the PS3 in general, there will probably be an influx of gamers buying PS3s anyways. ^_^ And sticking with the PS3 will more than likely be beneficial to you, as well.

I got home from work today to see I had no PS3, no Laptop, no plasma, and my cat was missing.

I then remembered I've never actually had any of those things...

If Move copied the Wii then the 360 copied Eyetoy.

And I could care less as I will not get any of the kinetic / move bullshit, so stop being a PS3 fanboy.
