I'm sure anyone with half a brain realizes that America is currently engaging in a war, they've been engaged in previous wars and will be engaged in wars to come. My question is, do you guys think the USA is the innocent one is these wars?

My opinion, hell no. The war against Afghanistan and the Taliban was caused by Americans, you can choose not to believe me but it is true. Take a class on world issues or do some research and you'll see why.
I hate to touch on such a sensitive subject, but I think 9/11 could have been avoided if Americans kept their nose out of business that isn't theirs.

I actually feel sorry for those who think that your soldiers are fighting for such a good cause (they are defending your country, yes, but think about why it needs to be defended in the first place), I respect any soldier greatly for what they are doing but some people are under the illusion that the USA is innocent when the war you are facing right now is your fault.

I read until the part where you mentioned you were Canadian, and let me stop you right there. All of these outside countries are fed the most liberal news, have you ever heard of the Kurds that were exposed to mustard gas and the inhumane torture Saddam Hussein inflicted on innocent civilians? Did you know there WAS WMDs found in Iraq? Did you know Iraq was trying for some time to develop weapon grade nuclear weapons from Uranium yellowcake bought from Africa? Did you happen to do ANY research at ALL?

Now onto the Taliban. The Taliban and Al-Queda are extremeist jihadists. They kill anybody thats non muslim and they try to wreck havoc. So for you to say "we" are at fault is such a joke it's not even funny. How about you look the other way and ask why the muslims have acted like assholes for the last 2000+ ****en years? They attacked our mainland, and for Iraq and Afghanistan to sponsor these terrorists and act like they're trying to stop terrorism but do a piss poor job, demonstrates they all are our enemies.

And we're using them for oil? Who cares? Look what they ****ing did to our towers!

And in response to the guy above me, no, not every Muslim wants to take over the world. Also, don't you think there might be other reasons as to why more religions are being taught in school? Maybe to culture the children perhaps or appeal to people who don't want to learn about Christianity?

Im American and all I'm sayin is WW1 and WW2 were only won because of our involvement because the rest of the Allied powers were obviously not getting it done, We brought down Hitler when others couldnt so in my opinion I see the US as helping other countries. The only war I dont understand our involvement in is Vietnam, I'll give you that.

Secondly and more importantly, I find it hard to believe that you could channel your hate at one religion then brand them as trying to take over the world when your religion has been by far the most troublesome in history!

Also just my 2 cents for the debate itself, we don't know what a country as powerful as the US is capable of and it wouldn't surprise me at all if Bin Laden and the lot of them didn't even exist; it was just an excuse for America to invade.

Go back to school and take a better history class (and whilst you're at it a better English class too) from a teacher that ISN'T American. You obviously have no idea what happened to say "the allied powers were not getting it done". We didn't need USA. We needed Russia. No one needs USA for anything.The Germans were falling and all you did was finish off a weakened enemy and take all the glory from it. You get involved in shit that doesn't concern you all the time, then wonder why other countries don't like you and attack you.
