(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Here's my ideas for some laws that would be fair.

1)All game must work without flaw ( excludes atual player forcing it e.g. Glitch hacks) this would mean no game freezes or disconnected

2)The product must be equal to all people who bought it. e.g PS3 version, Xbox 360 version ( excludes bonus content DLC)

3)If the product is faulty it must give all those compensation / refunds and recall the product till fixed ( excludes gamer caused error e.g. Hacks ect)

I think these ate fair laws, I mean image buying a car in the state of this game you would get a replacement ect ect but with video games it's just not got proper rules on it, i mean not one of you can say these rules are unfair at all. So what do you think?

Noticeably lower framerate, more lag, more networking issues, (not to mention the fact that Activision is a group of sellouts who screwed over PS3 in terms of receiving DLC).

It was a business deal.

If you want to choose a free PSN account over a premium(GOLD) XBL account then you're just asking for less exclusives, because after all the XBL Gold accounts is where the money for timed exclusivity came from.

I know it's unfair on PS3 users, however nobody did anything wrong.

I understand that it was a business move, but it just doesn't feel morally correct. (I know that's a lot to ask for in the business world)

The PS3 IS a better system hardware-wise, that's not disputable, however, that fact is forgotten a lot because the 360 is the main console for many multi-platform games.

The PS3 has better hardware, a lower failure rate, free online, Blu-ray capabilities, built in wireless, better graphics for first party games, compatibility with most USB headsets, SIXAXIS controls, and the ability to (without heavy modification) replace the standard HDD with a better one.

But all those features get overlooked because Microsoft bullies the market. It's not right that the better console loses out to the worse one because the company that manages the worse one is better at business.

But that's just how it is.

Also although the PS3 is better hardware-wise, XBL is highly superior to PSN(don't complain about paying, that money goes towards exclusives).
Also Sony seem to have made their system continuously worse over the last 12 months, it's quite shocking.

P.S. We can also use most USB headsets and very easily replace an HDD(way easier on XBOX in-fact) Smile

I agree with your first point, but the only thing that I see that Sony really messed up with in the past year was removing OtherOS. Also, I'm more looking at launch features, not updates.

As for USB headsets, this was included in an update on June 6th, meaning it didn't have this feature at launch. The reason I'm looking at launch is because I'm looking back at the time that the PS3 actually should have had a chance to beat the 360, back when it should have become more popular, but didn't due to Microsoft's business skills. I'm not gonna lie, I don't see any way that the PS3 could possibly win over the market at this point, Microsoft is just too far ahead now.

As for swapping HDDs, I mean ANY HDD. Not one that's in the specific 360 housing and you have to shell out $100 for. You can buy a 320gb 2.5 inch HDD for $50 on Newegg. All you need to install it is a philips head screwdriver - remove the door, pull out old HDD, push in new one.

If you wanted to get a larger capacity for the 360, you'd either have to buy a 120gb for around $100, or open your housing to swap the HDD, meaning you'd need a Torx T8 screwdriver, and then you'd have to format the HDD on your computer with a special DOS program to even get the 360 to use it.

Totally agree regarding the PS3's launch, the only reason I chose that over the XBOX at the time was that I was young, stupid and didn't really play online much haha, otherwise the XBOX would have been the obvious choice.

Interestingly enough one of the original PS3 devs said that they made a huge mistake making the system so hard to develop on, meaning that multi-platform titles would inevitably always be developed on the XBOX first then be ported over. This is also why only the PS3-exclusives are capable of showing it's potential.

I think both MS & Sony have learnt from their mistakes though, so the next console war will ultimately be lost from the start IMO depending on which of them decides to stick w/ motion peripherals. Because whether they like/realise it or not, hardcore gamers like myself aren't going to be putting down the standard gaming controller anytime soon.

P.S. On that last point, have you seen OnLive's controller? Perfection.
