(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Yesterday when I was coming home from NYC, I stopped at a rest stop and there was a man there dressed in raggy clothes and he was pretty old. He was standing in front of the rest stop opening the door for people and holding out a cup for money. As I was sitting in the car I watched COUNTLESS people walk by with showing no emotion or even saying thank you for opening the fuсking door door. I know he is probably the way he is because of drug problems, alcohol addiction, ect. But I mean does it really take that much effort to look at him and say thank you?!:confused:

I walked up to the guy twice in the time that we were there and gave him money and smiled at him, the first time he glanced at me and said thank you but the second time I did it he looked right up at me and said "God bless you son, people like you keep me alive." That really hit me :cry:

Sorry if this is a little bit tl;dr, but I just don't get why people would pass him by, at least smile at the guy or give a dollar, SOMETHING. Would you guys pass him by or would you give him money? Why or why not? I just don't get why you wouldn't.

He slept in the break room at work until he met people. He worked 2 full time jobs and one part time job on his days off. He did this for 10 years then he had kids and Thursday was our day to see our dad. He worked from 6am-3pm then from 4pm-12am everyday except thursdays for another 10 years. When I see people asking for money it just pisses me off.

Good post, or i hate people who are jelous of other peoples things. For ex. my sisters car its a nice car and all the kids at the collage or like "holy shit blah blhah blah" and they try to key it, when my parents worked there asses of and her aswell into buying that car. You know what i mean.

As much I feel bad for them I don't give them money because I constantly have homeless people walk up to me and ask for drugs :L makes me wonder when they got the money from when they offer me money for dugs BTW i don't do drugs or have drugs idk why they ask me :X
