Exactly. The fact it is legal makes it less of a temptation - something more acceptable.

making something more acceptable will not make people not try it. i know so many people who wont do weed becaue it is illegal. and the people who are going to use it are going to use it regardless? ummm no. these people will try it once its legal and ta-da, you have made a large portion of the country lazier. it'll be around 30% of the country.

i think in countries like the UK and the USA, regardless of it being legal or illegal, the people that already use it would continue to.

I also think there would be an increase in people trying it for the first few years, bt after that it would die down, because it wouldn't be a novilty to people anymore.

But i am in agreement that it would possibly make some people lazier, but then it would be up to the government to invest the money they invest in the fight against weed, into teaching people how to handle smoking weed, and what benefits it can bring you, rather the downsides to it.

Look at salvia divinorum. it's been around for just as long as weed has, but hardly anyone does it because it's legal. it can actually give you more intense "trips" than LSD. making something illegal just gives more attention to it.

anyway, i am completely against the idea that other people should be able to decide what you can and can't put in your own body.
