The rational thing to do is choose one side or another and find out if you are right.
Sure, but the rationally default side is rejection until evidence is presented.

Like if someone was lying or not, the first thing to think wouldn't be that they are guilty, but to analyze it with the information that you know. One main reason I believe there is a god is because space would of had to be created in someway, a way that can't be explained.
The big bang theory itself explains the origins of the universe. If that isn't enough for you, then "I don't know" is a better answer than "I don't know,
therefore..."

I do believe in evolution and the big bang theory, so do not think of me as a believer that is blinded by lies. I do not believe that god(s) suddenly made people appear, but I believe that the start had to have some explanation that we don't know, so one of my first things to rationalize is there is a god(s) because we do not have evidence to fully back-up whether or not there is a god, which is why it is about half-and-half when it comes to whether you believe or not.
You're wrong here. Due to the burden of proof, the rational person should not be 50/50 about belief at this point. You've not demonstrated that your god exists - all you've done is point at something you don't understand and said "hey, maybe this sentient being did it." That is
not rational. Basically, it's the god of the gaps argument.
