I look at it like this....

I am neither pro-life or pro-choice. There will always be a situation where there isn't a right or wrong answer. My ex-girlfriend had got an abortion because she didn't want her figure to change. My ex-wife had got an abortion because she was on "The 3 Month Shot" and if she would had carried to full term then there was a 80% the baby would had been mentally handicapped.

People can say that a fetus is a person but who will support it once something happens.

Then you have people that say it isn't a human, what if your mother had swallowed or aborted you? We can't know for sure what the outcome will be but why have the ability to select what kid lives and what kid dies.

If we could predict the future to see who becomes a hinderous on society then am all for selective abortion. If a female doesn't have a stable surrounding to bring up a healthy or unhealthy child then let her choose. Just be lucky that what they do with healthy bad girls in China hasn't reached to other parts of the world.

Unless someone close to you had an abortion or had something seriously wrong with them, some people would think twice.

Anti-abortion except in rare cases such as rape. When a woman is responsible enough to have sexual intercourse with another male then she should be responsible for any accidents or mistakes that happen during the process. If a woman has sex with a force upon her than it is her right to do what she wants.

Anti-abortion except in cases such as rape, or the woman is on drugs and the baby will be born as a drug dependent baby, no child should have tremors and withdraws of drugs, or alcohol. Mothers should stop their addiction and think of the child.

I'm all pro choice on this. 1st off, we're talking the Gov'ment limiting our choices.Government's job is to serve the public not dictate every aspect of our life. I think a lot of ppl forget that fact. The whole thought that there should be a restriction on ppls choices is lunacy. If someone chooses to get an abortion it is THEIR BUSINESS and not anybody elses. All the anti-abortion believers with morals are looking at this from a religious "black or white" perspective. "You kill, you're bad, if not you're good." What they don't understand is that this is a gray area situation and every couple don't share the same belief systems. If a couple decide to have an abortion, it is THEIR choice. Are you going to tell them that they shouldn't be able to do what's best for THEM because of your outlook on life?

It isn't quite as simple as 'government bad, no government please' in a society. The argument you just made applies equally well (or poorly, dependent on perspective) to murder.

I'm not saying we dont need a government at all, just not a big government that operates outside of its role. A government that does its job properly and protect our rights and well being without infringing on ppls liberties is what is needed.

My opinion is it's the person's choice. I'd rather see someone get an abortion, then to raise the kid in a badly influenced environment. I recommend people giving the baby up for adoption, instead of having an abortion.

The same logic can also rule that murder is a liberty though. If you introduce a new little rule about infringing on the rights of others then some still see the foetus in the same light as other people, so we're back to square one.
