No, it's not a shocker: Activision has this evening confirmed that a new Call of Duty title will hit later this year.
The publisher didn't confirm if the game is a sequel to Modern Warfare 2 or, most likely, one of the historical versions of the franchise that visits famous theatres of war.
But what it did say was that while it doesn't necessarily expect the new game to be as big a hit as MW2, it expects further franchise growth in 2010.

"We've consistently grown revenues for the franchise year over year and continue to do that this year," said Mike Griffiths, head of Activision Publishing.

That article really isn't even note worthy in terms of call of duty related news... I mean seriously do people not realize that the contract with infinity ward said that they were the only ones that could produce a MW title, and any other COD title could not go past the vietnam war?
The author of this article, (Source not OP), did not seem to know anything about the COD franchise, and obviously doesn't really know what he is talking about.

Do a barrel roll!
Mw2 and Mw still poans WAW simply because they didn't mess with the balance of gameplay and graphics WAW failed on online multiplayer, Glitchs they didnt remove after the testing and beta. Hopefully they'll go futueristic like the new MOH and on a larger scale with vehicles
