I beg to differ.
Due to many reasons. The most notable issue is that Sony lacks the funds to create more for their online community, because of the expenses-free PSN membership.
Microsoft, on the other hand, can afford to send out free things to its members. Such as free XBL trials, avatar items, games, Microsoft Points, and a LOT more.
They wouldn't be making PSN+ if they did not need the money, so once this is out, Sony and Microsoft will be even in the vicinity of this feature.
Of course, PSN still does this, but the rewards aren't quite as endearing.
Also, the PS3 lacks a superb multiplayer experience, not because its games or servers suck, but because Sony is geared more towards the offline player demographic. Don't get me wrong, that isn't a bad thing, not at all... but most gamers these days prefer playing online.
Sony accounts for about 14,000,000 online PSN users (about a quarter of them also have an Xbox 360), and Microsoft's Xbox is home to about 35,000,000 users. (A quarter of them, obviously, also own a PS3.)
Seeing as its fanbase is more than 50% larger than Sony's, Microsoft must be doing
something right.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the Xbox 360 is better than the PS3, I'm saying both consoles are strong in some aspects and weak in others.
It's all based on personal preference, and Xbox has obviously met the criteria for most of the gaming community. So, the PS3 does not, in fact, own the Xbox 360.
Thanks mate, I just needed to let some anger out. Doing this helps.
