DERPPPPPPPP. and pc gamers tend to be more loyal? are these all personal opinions? or something backed up by a study or research...last i knew...consoles take the cake, and have more loyalty when it comes to games. if i like the game, i stick with it..like metal gear solid 4..i played that game for nearly 3 years...3 years on one game.........cant be much more loyal than that...
Did some research on both subjects, the first one I was misinformed by my teacher. It's apparently a common misconception. As for PC gamers being more loyal, I could have sworn I saw something written on it, but a Google search returned nothing, so I must have been mistaken yet again.
But still, computer gaming isn't all that expensive. In fact, most games are cheaper on the PC than on consoles (Portal 2 was 49.99 on release, Oblivion GOTY is $10 cheaper on PC, Borderlands GOTY is $5 cheaper on PC [prices from Gamestop]). It doesn't hold true for every game (notably CoD games tend to be the same price on all platforms), but there are quite a few games that are cheaper for PC than they are on consoles.
Also, Borderlands runs smoother for me on PC than it did on PS3 and 360. It loads faster and has less visual lag. I haven't really been able to compare games other than Borderlands because I don't usually buy games I have on other consoles already.
