I'm not fan of fancars, that might go on same category, but will see. Hopefully that's not wheel breaker car, if not breaking my wheel, then definitely will drive with it.

Interesting point, I hope PD test it on G27's to make sure its not mental on the wheel

I tried to look for the results of fitt competition- no luck. At least I didn't found any results.

There seems to be too much talking and way too little actions. The planing of this competition could have been better. I don't understand why they don't use a normal excel sheet of each car and calculate the average points of each car like they do in every car test.

Sorry to say, but I think we must wait for the results for a long time.

Yeah Ive been looking over to see whats up and they are doing extensions on testing or something, I expect the Civic to be fastest overall, mine is but its got a PP bump from stupid low Tq. I'm really only interested in the Dubs, waiting for one to show a glitch tuned car that can show any benefit to the glitching, or at least show my camber real world tuned car to somehow be inferior.. Ive not seen anything like that yet... CSLACR was the fastest driver there but She threw a FiTT and haven't seen her since lol so Im not expecting any surprises...

I say "her" because either its a fast chick OR some dude fronting as a chick to get people to put their guard down. Shes been around for a while and has been cryptic about her gender (weird shit) For years her Avatar was a pic of a chick, and she wouldn't respond when asked if that was her, SO even if its really a dude, she is a chick to me..

Power is pulled from the electric motors only from 112mph to about 135mph and what is not used in that period is drained from the battery seeming unused in a second or 2.

The battery fills up very very quickly and braking into any corner just bout will fully recharge the battery, because it drains when unused if your on and off the brakes or its a long sweeper you may see the battery get fully charged and a sec later receive charge again without you of using any of the charge. Your limited inn the time you have from receiving the charge to using it.

No electric power until the car exceeds 112mph, and none after 135mph

So a Minimum Speed AND Maximum Speed

There is no lap limit, you can charge nd discharge the battery as much as you like each lap, it never stops working

Power does NOT seem to go to the rear wheels AT ALL, however because the electric motors dont kick in until 112mph and cut at 135mph its very difficult to be sure, but IMO there is no point using the rear for power AT ALL IF power wont go to them until 112mph, at that speed the fronts are not having traction issues, smoke from the fronts seen in my videos is from sub 112mph speeds before the electric motors kicked in and so had nothing to do with the electric motors. Its SUB 112mph that I would want electric motors to kick in in the rear and so IMO it wouldnt make any sense for the car to power the rear wheels at all if only above 112mph and so must be full time front wheel drive all the time...

MAYBE this is PARTIALLY how its intended to be run, where when NiSMO get the car sorted and up to the full 8j, they will use 6mj or so to power the rear wheels sub 112mph exiting corners, then 2mj above 112mph powering the front. If the car hits a kink or sweeper above 112mph seems like torque is vectored with the electric motors (sent to the outside wheel) but some might be fooled into thinking that's RWD power because the Torque Vectoring can slightly reduce understeer.. In reality if it we shooting the power to the rear at that time it would be sudden oversteer not a reduction of understeer, it would go from understeering to oversteering, remember its not mid rear engine its mid front and much heavier up front.

Well there is some interesting stuff to add to this. The ERS system is not a typical KERS system but mechanical. Its a flywheel system that basically spins up the flywheel when braking, then a clutch will engage the flywheel to deliver the additional power. This is why the power is so limited, we can only harness the power while its spinning, if we don't use it fast enough the Flywheel slows down and we need to hit the brakes to spin it back up to get power. This is simulated. Still all power to the front.

Im still not sure why its delivered inside a speed window as the rules don't state min or max speeds boost can be applied so it must be Nissan doing it like that for a reason. Still possibly how they intend to do the eventual split 2mj front and 6mj rear if they ever get that figured out.

I decided to put together set up for the NiSMO LMP1 and it responds very well to my tuning working at balancing the aero grip with the mechanical grip

This somehow reminds of beating the Vettel Challenge on Gold back in GT5, when SaveGame editing was still a no go..
I also hated that my wheel was going insane on that car.. The neighbours underneath were already asking me if I'd move furniture at night Smile

Final conclusion I came up with (and then golded the challenge):

Once the wheel is calibrated INSIDE the game (e.g. after launching it), you're free to pull the power-plug. Thus fully preventing any FFB at all.
It will be weird to drive like that (without any resistance from the wheel), but I felt that the X1 was really "asking" for insane wheel input -> which in turn was possible with no FFB.

On the other side, cars like these fully spoil your normal driving abilites. At least that's what I concluded from this challenge.. And thus I don't like these cars at all Winky Winky

Im unsure if it was the same in GT5 but in GT6 the X1 and a few cars have a different amount of steering lock. the X1 is around 360 to 400 degrees. With the power plugged in we can still turn past the maximum steering lock of the car but there is an increase in FFB resistance so the end point is definitive. When the power plug is pulled there is still the same amount of steering lock but no FFB indicator when we hit max lock for the car, it makes it double weird to drive but in the end still solved the crazy FFB issue for the short time I needed it to do so. I did the same trick for the X1 to stop it from killing my DFGT before I got the G27 because I had already killed a DFGT with full FFB in the same situation.

The straight is indeed bumpy but I don't find it too bad on the wheel with 6/8 settings. The rest of the track is no problem and smooth in comparison.

The car eats up the 24min of LeMans in the game and once tuned the car drives very very well, surprising, its making me more and more curious with this years LeMans I wonder how I go about watching it from Montreal Quebec, not sure if its broadcast here or on the stations I get.

I must admit, I've never driven the full X1 in GT6. I still have bad memories about it from GT5. It's nothing I'd ever like to drive again. The Junior version however, is somewhat acceptable (IIRC). But not the full fledged fan version.. IDK, the last time I've played GT6 was when Midfield surprisingly came as a "new" track.
Also, I'll never achieve the legit Platinum for GT6 as I refuse to drive these weird POS X1 car, and I'm not modding my OFW save.

About watching the La Sarthe Action next weekend, I'm quite confident that there will be quite some coverage on the web with live streams about it. No need to check your TV for any broadcasts Winky Winky
